Whiskey Sour

Whiskey Sour

2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 oz Egg White
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Garnish: Maraschino Cherry

Combine ingredients into a shaker and dry shake (no ice) for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 15 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe, add couple more dashes of bitters (pull through using a toothpick to make hearts) and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

There’s nothing like a classic whiskey sour made from bourbon. I prefer it over rye as it has a softer and warmer approach, helped by vanilla notes. This is in contrast to rye, which can come off a little more aggressive with its spices.
