Bubble gum pink sunsets. Frothy aquamarine waves lap at the bright white shoreline. I’ve got sand in places I shouldn’t but I’m giving zero fucks because I’m in Cabo, the paradise on the Pacific, and Lands End: the tip of the Baja Peninsula. I’m currently sitting on a tiny strip of beach, accessible only by boat, in between two bodies of water – the Sea of Cortes and the Pacific Ocean, both fighting for territory. That strip I’m on is called Lovers Beach, the calmer side (Sea of Cortes) – serving as a metaphor of the honeymoon period in relationships – where you can swim, snorkel and kayak. Only less than 70 feet away is Divorce Beach, where you guessed it, the waters of the Pacific Ocean are rough and while you can sunbathe, that’s about all you can do as the currents are so strong you can’t even dip your toe in there as it’ll pull you under. Trust me on this one.

My dear, this is paradise. This is Los Cabos. At the tail end of the Baja peninsula where the desert meets the ocean.
