Mocktail: Hibiscus Sparkler

1/4 oz Hibiscus Syrup
1 oz Hibiscus Tea, cooled
2 oz Sparkling Grape Juice
Splash of Lemon-Lime Seltzer
Garnish: Hibiscus Flower

First, prepare the base of the drink by combining the syrup and tea in a cup. Next, place a hibiscus flower (remove it from the jar where it’s been sitting in syrup) in the bottom of a champagne flute. Pour in the drink base. Add sparkling grape juice. Top with seltzer.


This is a sweeter beverage so if you’re not fond of sugar, I would eliminate the hibiscus syrup altogether since there’s already residual syrup in the flower garnish as well as in the white grape juice. You can find hibiscus flowers in syrup at your local specialty food shop.
